DID
YOU KNOW THAT INSTALLING MORE MEMORY CAN SPEED UP YOUR COMPUTER? -
And that means that you can breathe new life into an ageing PC and make
it work harder and faster for you, plus you will then be able to play
the more modern up to date computer games that would potentially grind
an old memory deficient computer to a halt.
HOW DOES THE MEMORY
INSTALLATION SERVICE WORK? - We offer to
very simple memory solutions for you. Just choose the one that is
best for you and then follow the instructions below:
- You purchase the memory
from one of the companies listed below, then contact us to fit it once you
have received it.
- We obtain the memory on
your behalf and fit it for you.
Whichever service you use,
the cost of the memory installation will be the same. The main
advantage of you purchasing the memory yourself is that you will only
need to be apart from your computer for a couple of hours at the
most. If we obtain the memory for you, we will not place an order
for the memory until we have received a £20.00 CASH deposit from you
(it is our standard policy to always obtain a £20.00 cash deposit
before ordering any parts). Please note, if you request us to
order the memory on your behalf, you could potentially be without your
computer for 48-72 hours.
TO HELP YOU DECIDE
WHICH ONE OF THESE TWO SERVICES IS THE MOST APPROPRIATE FOR YOU, PLEASE
READ ON:
- If you cannot afford to
be without your computer for up to 72 hours you would benefit from
ordering the memory yourself and then contacting us after you have
received the memory to arrange for it to be installed. We provide
a link below for a company called 'BT Shop' and they have a very useful
tool on their website that will help you to select the correct memory on
your computer. You do have the option via their website of
purchasing the memory directly from them, or if you wish you can shop
around on the other websites that we advertise to see if you can find
the memory for your computer for potentially less money. Please
see our 'Price List' page for the most up to date installation charges.
- If you don't mind potentially being
without your computer for up to 72 hours, or if you would prefer to
let someone else choose the correct memory for you, then this is the
best option for you. You can view our installation charges by
looking at the 'Price List'
page. Remember we must receive a £20.00 cash deposit from you
before your new memory will be ordered. The £20.00 deposit
will be deducted from your final bill once the memory has been
installed and you have been advised that your computer is ready to
be collected. Please submit a request via the 'Request
An Estimate' screen and we will reply back to you with an
estimated final cost for the supply of memory plus the installation
charge.
MEMORY SELECTOR
Please click on the banner advert
below to be taken to the 'BT Shop' website. Simply complete the
very short form on the web page and the memory selector will find the
most appropriate memory choices for your computer. Please ensure
that you DO NOT EXCEED the maximum amount of memory that your computer
is capable of operating with (e.g. if the 'Memory Selector' states that
the maximum amount of memory for your computer is 2GB, do not order
more than 2x1GB memory modules).

Once you have received the memory
modules, please telephone us on 01322 515773 to arrange an
appointment for the memory to be installed. Please see our opening
hours on the home page of the website before telephoning. To
contact us outside of our opening hours please use the 'contact
us' form and we will get back to you. Please ensure that
if you use the mail form that you specify the make and model of your
computer to assist us with your request.
ALTERNATIVE MEMORY SUPPLIERS
If you wish to shop around for
